Education: Graduated Academy of Art College in San Francisco, U.S.A.
Obtained BFA from Sculpture, Fine Art Department.
Attended summer school of Massachusetts College of Art, F.I.T. in New York.
Activities: Founded STUDIO B-1 in Ohtaku, Tokyo in 1985. With the name of Mado & Vincent, Have worked in the fields of advertising and magazines as art director and photographer. In 1991 Became independent as an photographer. The Studio is reasonably open for young artists when its available which is my policy from the beggining in 1985.
Data of works: All the pictures from 1-7 were taken by 8X10 PoLaroid Instant Films. Most of lighting source are harogen handy flush light. All of the pictures are taken long time exposure and mltiple exposures.
Concepts of works: All the works are from the series of "PHOTO-DIARY". Not only one day memory but some of the works are comvined many mem ories of certin period of time such as the picture of 1 and 2. Entire life, there are a lot of encounters with people. I have no idea how long does it last and where does it go. I am very interested in especially encounters of people and their emvironments. I often spend time in imaginations of relation's past and future you never know.
