27 November

Hoshi no suna beach from the garden of the guest house. Over half of the sand in the beach is in the shape of stars. The part of the beach where we chased the crabs is there too.

The guest house is split up into many huts. This garden was where the fireflys were. Apparently you can see fireflys in Autumn.

Alcohol which contains a viper. I can't come to grips with this one!

Mango which is grown in the garden. Yum!, the southern islands!

The cockpit of the high speed boat which links Iriomotejima to Ishigakijima

This boat heading to Ishigakijima goes off track to drop off 2 people at a little island. There are 50 residents on this island.

From now on the report is coming from Ishigakijima. This is 'sanmai soba'. Absolutely delicious.

Graffiti on a sign in Hankagai (major town). 'Awamori sake shop'... it's not a brothel!

Here I bought 'shiisa (legendary animal) no suzu'. Buying straight from the maker is so much more cheaper than buying it in town.

At this free market, 'ucon' was being sold. Apparently it's good for the liver, and I'm sure there are some people that know of the powder type that is sold in jars from souvenir shops. For the body. When you try it, there is such a unique taste.

On this day we stayed at Ishigakijima hotel.
